Preliminary Exercise

This Indian wear, this is called Kurti and sharara. Indian clothes have a history behind them, with time Indian wear has developed a lot with time. The practice of wearing heavy work clothes in marriages or any big occasions taking place has been there and it is always been taught to specially girls that if there's a big occasion you have to dress up really well with bright colourful clothes and be the best version of yourselves. I was attending a ceremony that is involved in Indian weddings (mehendi ceremony) in this specific occasion you are expected to wear preferably yellow or any colour near yellow.

However, even western wear has developed a lot in time but with Western fashion, old fashion keeps coming back with time, for example puffer jackets was introduced in fashion in the 1940s and then reimagined in the 1970s, last year in winters 2023 puffer jackets again came in fashion. In this picture my model is wearing a red halter top with faux puffer jacket dark blue straight fit  jeans which perfectly goes with the red colour bag and jacket. It's a contrasting combination of bright red and dark blue which is making the picture vibrant overall.

Overall, by analysing these pictures and fashion behind it has helped me discover how I can compare and contrast between the 2 types of fashion, it will also help me inspire about my coursework in the future.
